let's start with geography
Calabria is a mountain colossus, nestled between two seas: the Ionian Sea to the east and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west. It is the last region of southern Italy that is unexplored in some respects and has immense natural, cultural, gastronomic and food and wine resources.

Calabria has 800 km of coastline characterized by very white beaches, granite rocks, unique coves and lush and "vigorous" vegetation.
• The Mountains – For those who love nature and hiking
Calabria can be described as the " giant of southern Italy ", whose territory is 91% mountainous. This wonderful region has 3 national parks: - The Pollino National Park, with its 190,000 hectares the largest in Italy, where the longest river in Calabria, the Lao River (64 kilometers long), finds its "outflow"; - The Sila National Park, which covers about 17,000 hectares, contains natural and wildlife oases of enormous value. - The Aspromonte National Park, with an area of 3240 hectares, is characterized by lush flora and the presence of numerous waterfalls.

A territory of conquest by the Normans, Greeks, Byzantines, Saracens, Aragonese, Spaniards and Bourbons, Calabria is a region full of culture and archaeological finds of enormous value. The region has a heritage of religious traditions, enriched by folkloric events that are unique in their way and expression. The entire area is dotted with churches, monasteries, castles and noble palaces.
